This GORGEOUS vintage Bakelite brooch dates to the early 1930-40's and is a translucent dark emerald green color. It measures 3 1/4" x 2" and has an elliptical shape. The brooch is about 1/4" thick and weighs 25 grams. 

Three equally spaced pine cone or flower carvings are found across the center of the brooch. Small round open work carvings separate the pine cone/flower carvings and lovely detailed leaf inspired carvings cover the rest of the brooch. The artist did a really beautiful job of carving this brooch!

The brooch has its original hardware with a roll-over "C" clasp. The clasp works like new and stays closed when the brooch is being worn.  

It measures 3 1/4" x 2 and is approximately 1/4" thick and weighs 25 grams.

The brooch tests positive for Bakelite using Simichrome polish. (See photo #9) No chips or cracks were seen.
