Here is a lot comprising a signed paperback copy of Black by Design: A 2-Tone Memoir by Pauline Black.
Black's memoir is the inspiration behind the Sky Arts documentary about her life, loves and legacy. The book is told with candour and humour, showing that Black's way with words isn't limited to lyrics.
She explains her viewpoint on growing up mixed race in a white adoptive family, escaping her demons through the 2-Tone movement based in Coventry where she studied to be a radiographer in the NHS, and her experiences of being one of the few women in 2-Tone. She also includes her search for her biological parents and her long-lasting marriage.
Her career has encompassed music, theatre, presenting and acting, and has come full circle back to The Selecter.
The book is in good used condition. It's yellowing a bit, but the spine is intact and all pages present. Besides Pauline's signature, it also comes with a ticket for The Selecter/The Beat in Chesterfield in 2017 and one from an Elton John concert also in Chesterfield.
