A set of six French brass finger plates in the Louis XVI style, these door push plates combine cast and pierced metalwork in a format typical of high-quality French interior hardware from the late 19th to early 20th century. French brass finger plates of this type were produced for grand domestic interiors, hotels, and public buildings during the Belle Epoque period, when neoclassical ornament was widely applied to architectural fittings.
Each plate features a shaped top with a stepped arch profile, a central oval cartouche framed by beaded molding and foliate scrolls, flanking ribbon-tied torch motifs, and a lower body filled with an open diamond-pattern trellis grille. The borders carry repeating laurel and bead ornament consistent with Louis XVI-style decoration. The brass has developed a warm, aged patina across all six plates, with some variation in tone between pieces — the two outer plates show a slightly darker, more oxidized surface compared to the brighter center plates. Small screw holes are present at top and bottom for surface mounting. No maker's marks are visible in the photos. Minor surface wear and patina consistent with age and use.
Each plate measures approximately 6cm x 22cm / 2.4" x 8.7". The set comprises six plates in total, showing consistent form with natural variation in patina.
