This auction is for an original antique earthenware Satsuma Gyozan teaset and includes the following:

**6 Saucers (one saucer has a small firing crack on the edge-- see pics)

**sugar with lid
Originally designed for the Western export market in the mid 1800s. No damage noted, see all photos for details and condition.
This set is a true piece of art that is a rare and will make a very special addition to a fine collection. Beautiful and vibrant colors. Hard to find item from the late 1800s that has been lovingly cared for and exudes a beautiful patina that has developed over time, adding unique character and historical value to this tea set!

All pieces are absolutely beautiful and have been stored in a smoke-free environment. The pieces have and aged pottery aroma and patina and are truly unique and very rare to find in a complete set.
