JJ's" is an official brand extension of the Jules Jürgensen watch company.

Brand Context & History

The "JJ's" Trademark: The stylized "JJ's" logo seen on your caseback and packaging was introduced later in the company's timeline. It was used to distinguish their affordable, department-store fashion watches from their historical, high-end Swiss luxury pieces.

The Australian Connection: Jules Jürgensen originated as an elite Danish/Swiss watchmaker in 1740 but went through several corporate ownership changes throughout the 20th century. During its modern quartz-era expansion (1980s–2000s), the brand established regional distribution branches, including JJ's Company, Australia, to market and distribute these casual quartz models directly to the Australian and Oceanic retail markets.

Unlike heritage brands that design and construct watches from the ground up, JJ's Company acts as a lifestyle merchandiser. The firm designs or curates aesthetic looks in Australia, then relies on outsourced supply chains in China for mass assembly. This agile business model allows fashion companies to quickly produce affordable, on-trend lifestyle accessories without the immense overhead of operating a dedicated mechanical factory.
