Reluctantly listing this beautiful van as the brakes went in April and my wife has gone and bought a bigger camper. Honestly thought I'd keep this one running forever!
She was built as a camper in 1992 with a built-in hob, sink and rock & roll bed. The fittings were all getting a bit tired so a few years ago I refitted it with the same design of bed but wider, and without the kitchen side or wardrobe. The bed is comfy enough but it's not a finished or polished conversion by any means.
The bed folds up into seats and has four seatbelts. There is plenty of space for four little ones or three adults in the back.
She starts and runs well, but a blocked fuel filter is causing some air fuel mixture issues. The original fuel tank sprung a leak around 2018 and was replaced with a plastic one from a Ford Fusion. The blocked fuel filter is integrated into this fuel tank and is difficult to access.
Unfortunately this fuel tank gets in the way of fitting the tow bar, so I have acquired another metal one the same as the original which I was planning to treat inside and out with rust proofing before installing, along with an external in-line filter.
I also acquired a new engine for this van a few years ago! It is a new old stock British Leyland O2 engine which has never been used. I will list this engine separately, but I'll give the buyer of the van first refusal before doing so.
Included in the sale: roof bars, roof box, new shock absorbers, spare wheel, replacement fuel tank, tow bar.
Viewing welcome! Hoping to sell this van to someone who will keep it running and not strip it for parts as there aren't many of these left on the road!
