Offered is a Lionel $6-18303 (#8303) AMTRAK GG-1 Electric Locomotive that Lionel produced in 1989 ONLY.  

The unit is NIB.

Greenberg shows this item on pp. 170 of his 2023 ed. of "The Lionel--PPG."  To it, he assigns a value of from $275.00 up to $338.00.

  dual motors

  Magna-Traction

  working headlights and running lights on both sides

  METAL BODY, Chassis, Trucks, and Wheels

  remotely controlled operating knuckle couplers on both ends

  twin pantographs

  remotely controlled forward-neutral and reverse

I did remove the engine, place it on tracks, installed the pantographs, and photo'd everything.  I DID NOT TEST IT.

The pantographs simply push on as they are spring loaded---BUT DO SO VERY CAREFULLY so as NOT to hurt anything!

The instructions, the box, etc. are all included.

This thing is gorgeous!  It's over 35 years old and still new with all.
