Both volumes are bound in decorative brown leather with gilt lettering and ornate embossed cover and spine designs. The exterior leather shows antique wear. However, the books are very sturdy overall. The bindings remain strong, the pages are intact, and both volumes open and close properly with no major structural separation noted.
