Description
Vintage Japanese Porcelain Ginger Jar/Vase with Lid and a floral design with peacocks and cherry blossoms. It has a crackle glaze, red & gold decorative design at base of lid and at the base of the vase, and stands approximately 10" tall from base to top of finial. There is also a sticker on the bottom of the vase indicating that it is a Japanese item. There are no chips or cracks. However, there is a flaw in the paint on the edge of the lid (pix 12) and the finial has some discoloration (pix 13). See images. This piece would be a beautiful addition to any type of collection.
