Copeland Spode Blue Italian Quartered Serving Plate C1930s. Nibbles, Sandwiches

These were very popular the 1930s era. The raised dividers on this

Copeland Spode plate separate the surface into four distinct sections to serve finger sandwiches, afternoon tea treats, cakes, or savouries without them touching or rolling together.

Historically, this specific four-section design is known as a divided sandwich plate or a quartered cake plate. They were popular in the early-to-mid 20th century for formal afternoon tea hosting.

Measures approximately 9.75” to 10” diameter and is in lovely condition for age. It has a slightly raised design top and bottom too. There is some light staining on the back of the plate and a little on one part of the edge.
