Up for sale is a fantastic sterling silver item by Wallace!
This item is a pie/dessert server in their iconic Grande Baroque pattern.
Introduced in 1941, Grande Baroque has become the #1 sterling flatware pattern for American brides.
This pie/dessert server features a stainless steel blade and sterling handle. The handle is hollow.
It measures 10 3/8” long. The blade measures 5 5/8” long to where it joins the handle. The handle measures 4 3/4”. The stainless steel blade is marked
“WALLACE
STAINLESS”,
the handle is marked
“STERLING HANDLE”,
and includes the Wallace deer head with antlers between the words STERLING and HANDLE.
The mark on the handle is nearly impossible to see, even with the aid of a jeweler’s loop. After looking carefully, I was finally able to find it!
Condition is excellent estate sale condition! There are a few light surface scratches on the blade and handles from occasional handling and cleaning. No other sign of use or wear of any kind, and damage at all.
