I was fortunate recently to be able to acquire a good collection of antique & vintage sterling silver cycling prize fob medals dating from the 1890s up to the 1960s. I am now putting these medals up for auction at very reasonable starting prices (ofter below the sterling silver scrap price) but with a Buy it Now option for anyone who does not wish to wait.

This example is:

A sterling silver cycling medal hallmarked Birmingham 1898 but has been later engraved as a prize in 1941 for the Newcastle Clarion Cycling Club.

The front of the medal has been engraved with the name of the recipient "W. Beach".

The obverse is engraved:

"Newcastle Clarion C.C. Best All Rounder 1941"

Sterling Silver Medal: Weight: 13.2 gm. Width: 33 mm. Height: 38 mm. Hall Mark: Birmingham 1898. Maker's Mark: Henry Pope.

Summary: As can be seen from the photos this is an attractive & collectable vintage sterling silver cycling fob medal. Good luck!

NOTE: Please see my other listings of sterling silver cycling medals. If more than one medal is purchased please wait until you receive an invoice before paying as I am happy to combine postage.
