Original Serbian First Balkan War Commemorative Medal – “OSVEĆENO KOSOVO 1912”

Original Serbian commemorative medal issued to mark the First Balkan War (1912). The obverse bears the inscription “OSVEĆENO KOSOVO 1912” (“Kosovo Avenged 1912”) with a field artillery cannon and rising sun motif, symbolizing Serbia’s victory over the Ottoman Empire. Gold plated bronze and artist signed original period medal.

The reverse features the Serbian double-headed eagle with the royal coat of arms, surrounded by a laurel wreath. The individual leaves are engraved with the names of towns and battle locations associated with the Serbian campaign, including Kumanovo, Prilep, Monastir (Bitola), Priština, Mitrovica, Novi Pazar, Raška, and Veles, commemorating the liberation and military advances of 1912.
