VINTAGE 1920s PARAMOUNT STYLE A BANJO William L. LANGE NEW YORK, NY with ORIGINAL CASE, modified in the late 1950s to PARAMOUNT STYLE A Hybrid 5 String Tenor BANJO as popularized by Pete Seeger around that time; very expertly done using mainly W. L. Lange Paramount Style A parts with a beautiful extensive rework! This tenor hybrid five string open back banjo has longer neck length still with the original very old select white maple neck maintaining the original pearl scrolling with the “wearforever” finish and page geared, tuning pegs, utilizing the original Rogers Weather King head/pot 14“ x 3“ rim with nickel plated hardware and the patented piano, volume harp, Quality tone leader style banjo, and the patent number listed and original manufacturing plate are still there. Also comes with original plush silk lining case with neck support guaranteed suction stable fit with no movement when carried with original Excelsior hardware out of Stamford, Connecticut, extra bridge is included and Orpheum Tuning key. Very nicely done as one you can see using original pot and converting to a long neck five string making a new fingerboard that has all the appearances of the original Paramount style A tenor banjo, a rare expertly done five string hybrid! This one’s been in the family since the 50s with plenty use over the years with obvious wear but there were many banjos and now it’s time to let this one go.
