A rather handsome pair of contemporary Scottish gilt leather bindings. In good, solid and sound condition.
Minor marks, blemishes or reading wear commensurate with age else a very nice pair of Scottish bibles. Marbled end papers.
Early/contemporary signature of one James Scott Morelit [?] Edinburgh.
Bound in a very attractive contemporary Scottish bindings. Black calf with gilt borders and thistle motifs to the corners to the boards.
Spine with raised bands and ornate gilt décor to the compartments. Volume numbers 1 & 2 in gilt to the spines.
Minor wear or rubbing else very good bindings. Volume 2 with a tiny leather nick.
A handsome and unmolested set of Scottish bindings for the discerning collector.
