Schneider Electric TeSys GC modular contactors
Schneider Electric's TeSys GC modular contactors provide single-phase, three-phase or four-phase power switching. TeSys GC is a safe, easy to use and install range of contactors. The devices are compact and suitable for use in a wide range of applications.
Features and benefits
• Built-in auxiliary contacts for increased switching capacity
• Screw connections: IP20-rated finger-protected terminals for North American and International terminal markings
• Can be panel mounted with screws or din rail mounted
• Pulse relay function
• Day/night function
• Class 2 insulation: continuous safety for operators and unqualified personnel
What does AC1 and AC3 use category mean for TeSys contactors?
The contactor usage categories define the current making and breaking values based on the type of load to be controlled and the operating cycle conditions.
AC-1: Valid for all AC devices with a power factor of at least 0.95. Example of use: resistive load, heating, distribution.
AC-3: Valid for squirrel cage motors where an interruption occurs while the motor is running.
Example of use: all squirrel cage motors, elevators, escalators, conveyors, bucket elevators, compressors, pumps, mixers, air conditioning units.
The TeSys GC range consists of double-break type contactors poly?
Yes, the Tesys GC range uses linear translation motion which provides double pole breaking.
