Rare 1878 Moore & DePue San Mateo County Lithograph - G.T. Brown - Plate 96 / 97

Authentic 1878 lithographed plates 96 / 97 removed from a first edition copy of Moore & DePue’s Illustrated History of San Mateo County. These 146-year-old prints features a sharp, clear strike. Note the original center fold/crease from the book binding process. There is some honest age-related toning and minor edge wear consistent with 19th-century paper, but the central image remains striking.

A rare piece of early California history by the famed lithographer Grafton Tyler Brown.

• Plate 96: Residence of James W. Bell, San Gregorio, San Mateo Co. Cal.

• Plate 97: St. Matthew’s Hall, Church and Rectory, San Mateo, Cal.
