1962 BMW R60/2 with American Easy Sidecar —
Triple‑Matching VIN — Original Paint & Fresh Mechanical Service
Up for sale is a charming 1962 BMW R60/2
paired with a period‑correct American Easy sidecar. This is a triple‑matching
VIN example (engine, frame, and ID tag) wearing its original, unrestored paint
and 60+ years of patina and history.
This rig has a wonderful history. The previous
owner bought the sidecar setup in the 1980s so he could ride his young son
around town. After a few years of use, it was stored in a barn for decades. I
helped him bring it back to life recently, and he was able to ride it again in
his 80s — a moment he cherished until he passed away last year. I have been
taking my kids on it for evening ice cream or local orchards.
