Busser’s 1978 solo debut Movies drenches its symphonic-meets-psych soundscapes in glorious Mellotron, conjuring the laid-back Teutonic grandeur of Schicke, Führs and Fröhling and Novalis, with jazzy, Camelesque detours along the way. A one-man tour de force on every instrument, it’s undercut only by uneven CSN style folk numbers and weaker vocal tracks, leaving a fine Swiss-prog gem that shines brightest in its atmospheric instrumentals.
