Schuco bears originated in Nuremberg, Germany. The famous toy company Schreyer & Co. (later known as Schuco) was founded there in 1912 and became globally renowned for its innovative, mechanical teddy bears—such as the famous "Yes/No" bears and miniature pocket-sized bears—starting in the 1920's
