Condition for age as shown. ANTIQUE 1940s STERLING SILVER "EMBOSSED HORSE CIGARETTE CASE" 223 Grams Silver. 223 GRAMS IS 7.17 TROY OUNCE. I don't believe this was ever used because the snap closure button is so stiff that i had to put a piece of cloth over it, to get it open. I couldn't just push the button in with my thumb to get it open. Great snap closure. I'm not an expert on british silver but the cartouches look like it was made in birmingham england by J. C. L.td . It has a gold wash overlay look inside, not sure. LARGE HEAVY SILVER CIGARETTE CASE. Measures 1/2 X 3 & 3/3 X 5 & 1/2". Just remember enlarged photos or scans tend to exaggerate any flaws.
