This is a coaxial short-circuit termination type 874-WN, made by General Radio Co. in U.S.A. The device is new, never used, in its original opened plastic small box, since about 1970, when it was acquired (vintage item, Figs. 1 - 5). It consists of a fixed short circuit mounted in a GR-874 connector, made for the 50 W coaxial line type of products. It is useful for pulse forming using delay cables, and for impedance measurements at high frequencies (GHz range). Its electrical characteristics are (from the General Radio Catalog): impedance 50 W, highest usable frequency 7 GHz. For use in high frequency or short pulse signals in an electronics or physics laboratory, or as a collectible item on history of electronics.
