Please note: a fully refundable $160 core deposit is included in the purchase price above and will be refunded with the return of your original 1985 California model w123 chassis starter.  Your core *must* be California model with solenoid on the bottom to get your core deposit back (seller will NOT accept starters with the solenoid on top or starters from other makes/model vehicles).  

ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Rebuilt starter motor for 1985 w123 chassis California model mercedes vehicles and 1985 California model w126 300SD only.  This starter has the solenoid on the BOTTOM of the starter rather than on the top, as is found on federal versions of the Mercedes.  The California model of Mercedes features a trap oxidizer and has a smaller air filter housing directly behind the passenger (right front) headlight.  1985 Federal models of the w123 chassis feature a larger air filter housing in the right center of the engine bay.  If you are uncertain if this starter will fit your vehicle, please contact the seller BEFORE making your purchase for assistance with fitment.

1 YEAR EXCHANGE WARRANTY

In the unlikely event that there's any problem with your starter within 1 year of purchase I will swap it out for you.  You willl need to mail it back first in order for there to be an exchange.  

LEAD TIME:  The starter is only rebuilt when an order is placed.  Please plan ahead and allow for approximately 7 business days lead time from the time your order is placed until the order is ready to ship.
