Fresh from a local estate is this vintage ribbon with a metal fob commemorating the World War One "SOLDIERS & SAILORS HOMECOMING CELEBRATION" in 1919. The ribbon measures approx. 3 inches long and is in overall excellent condition with some signs of age as you can see. The front has a profile of LAFAYETTE above a soldier and a sailor each holding a rifle. Between them reads "WE HAVE COME - PERSHING". Below that is a spread winged eagle. The reverse reads as follows: "FAYETTE COUNTY HOME COMING CELEBRATION IN HONOR OF OUR SOLDIERS & SAILORS IN THE WORLD WAR 1917 - 1919 OFFICIAL SOUVENIR CONNELLSVILLE, PA. JULY 6 - 9, 1919".
