The books cover is black leather with gold title writing and decoration to the front cover. The cover has some light surface shelf ware  and some light rubbing to the corners, spine & edges. Otherwise the cover is good. The hinges, inner boards and endpapers are good. With frontispiece of The Temple of Thesevs. The book also has some illustrations to the chapter title pages. There are 232 pages including the index. With a catalogue of other works done by Thomas Keightley to the rear of the book. The title page and frontispiece and the endpapers, have some light fox marks but the pages are otherwise in good clean condition throughout. The page block is good. The binding is tight and square.  A nice vintage book from 1838 on Mythology of Greece and Italy.
