ISSUE 3 PCB AMSTRAD build Taiwan

Upgraded from factory build as follows:

- repaired sound balancing of the ULA beeper sound and the AY sound which was always faulty as built at factory. Now sounding superb and balanced. Also balanced the sound of the tape loading which was excessive.

- replaced all electrolytic capacitors with brand new quality ones

- repaired factory built fault on RGB to SCART signal which led to an unstable picture. Again, this was always faulty as built at factory, but back then not many people used RGB as they were using RF

- checked and repaired fixes to reverse side of board (solder side)

- new power connector fitted and repair to damage of solder pad on board by previous owner

Tested with a diagnostic ROM connected to the edge connector. Fully working. Tests include:

- keyboard

- all RAM working and bank switching working

- all ROM working

- CPU

- ULA

- sound from ULA beeper

- sound from AY chip

- display buffer swaps

Tested with a working keyboard. Not included.

Tested with a working tape drive. Games load and save.

Both joystick ports working.
