This is a preowned Danelectro branded “Grilled Cheese” Distortion pedal being sold in good working order. I powers on with either an internal 9v battery or boss-style 9v power supply. Features a level control and one for “resonance” that adjusts the overall EQ curve. As with most of these early 2000s “food series” pedals the knobs had been lost, but the pots still work fine and can easily be adjusted with a phillips head screwdriver. Aftermarket 3d printed replacements are also readily available. The pedal has been cleaned throughly inside and out and still offers those great midfocused, lo-fi vintage punk rock tones that have made it a fan favorite.
Here’s what the folks at the Equipboard website had to say about it:
The Danelectro DJ-10 Grilled Cheese is a distinct, budget-friendly mini-distortion pedal from the brand's early 2000s "Food Series". Famous for its bright yellow enclosure and eccentric "cocked-wah" hollow-tube sound, it serves as a niche, lo-fi specialty effect rather than a versatile, everyday overdrive.
