What You Get

One iron-on transfer set based on the Transfer Type and Transfer Size you select:

Pre-weeded and mounted on a clear carrier sheet, ready to apply. Dispatched flat in a rigid mailer.

A small practice sample is included so you can test temperature, pressure and peel on a similar fabric before applying the main transfer.

Design Styles

Four design styles are available: 1 - Jersey, 2 - Athletic, 3 - Premier, and 4 - Racing. Each style uses a different sports font and number shape. See the listing photos for examples.

Curved Name is available for Name+Number only. Number(s) Only and Pocket Size 12cm are supplied without a curved-name option.

How to Apply

1. Pre-heat iron to cotton/linen setting (150–160°C). No steam.
2. Lay the garment on a hard, flat surface. Place baking paper or a thin cloth inside the shirt to prevent vinyl sticking through to the other side.
3. For Name+Number: position the number first, centred on the shirt back. Position the name approximately 20mm above the number, also centred. See the placement guide photo.
4. For Number(s) Only: centre the number on the garment. For Pocket Size 12cm, position on the chest, pocket or shorts area.
5. Press firmly for 20 seconds. Do not slide. For larger designs, press in sections.
6. Wait 60 seconds. Peel the carrier sheet slowly from one corner. Re-press if any edge lifts.
7. Turn the garment inside out and press from the back for 10 seconds.

Heat press: 155°C, 20 seconds, medium pressure, cold peel.

We strongly recommend testing the included practice sample first, especially on sportswear or unfamiliar fabrics.

Application results depend on the garment, heat, pressure and method used. As we do not apply the transfer for you, we cannot be responsible for application errors or poor results caused by incorrect pressing or unsuitable fabric.

Fabric Compatibility

Works on: Cotton, polyester, poly-cotton, jersey. Most standard football and rugby shirts are polyester and work well.

Does not work on: Nylon, waterproof shells, mesh panels, coated or waxed fabrics.

Some sports shirts have a heat-sealed or rubberised coating. If your garment feels waxy or slick, test a hidden area first.

Wash Care

Wait 24 hours after application. Wash inside out at 30°C. Do not tumble dry. Do not iron directly over the transfer.

Troubleshooting

Transfer not bonding to sports shirt: Some shirts have a coating that resists vinyl. Test a hidden area first. If the fabric is nylon or coated, this transfer will not work.

Corners lifting after a match: Re-press from the back for 15–20 seconds. A heat press gives the strongest bond for sports shirts.

Name not centred above number: Position carefully before pressing. Once pressed, repositioning is very difficult. Use a ruler or the placement photo as a guide.

Carrier sheet stuck after pressing: Wait longer — the vinyl must cool completely. If still stuck after 2 minutes, gently peel from a corner.

Letters distorted on textured fabric: Heavily textured or ribbed fabric can affect the finish. A heat press gives a cleaner result.
