This is a pre-owned item.

Cartier's history began in 1847 when Louis-Francois Cartier opened a workshop on Rue Montorgueil in Paris.

In 1904, requested by the aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont to develop a timepiece that would allow him to check the time easily while flying, Cartier designed the world's first wrist-worn watch with a strap at a time when pocket watches were the norm. In 1917, they also completed the "Tank," inspired by military tanks, establishing the legacy of "Cartier Watches" that created the world's first wristwatches.

Cartier Must Tank 1980s Manual-Winding Original Sterling Silver (SV925) / YGP.
The Cartier Tank has a rich history spanning about a century (100 years) since its inception. Even among modern current models, it remains a masterpiece that boasts wide popularity as a symbol of Cartier.

We are proud to introduce this Cartier Must Tank LM size Trinity Dial Manual-Winding from the 1980s.
This is a relatively rare manual-winding model sold in the 1980s, featuring a dial with a beautiful three-color combination border design that exudes a unique and captivating atmosphere.

The balance with the dial, including the outward-extending pencil hands, is excellent, offering a sophisticated ambiance that can only be experienced in an antique model. Together with the charming Tank case design, you can fully enjoy the distinctive character and charm of the Cartier Must Tank on your wrist.

The case size is equivalent to a boys' size, making it the even scarcer LM type for this model, which offers a subtle yet elegant presence.
The individual details and their unique combinations vary from piece to piece, which is a major part of the appeal of antique watches.

It is reasonably priced and offers great value compared to current models. Please fully enjoy the unique charm found only in antiques, featuring the high-cost, time-consuming craftsmanship of that era that differs from modern mass production.

This is a highly recommended, one-of-a-kind item with no two exactly alike, which you will grow more attached to the more you use it. It is a truly remarkable Cartier Must Tank antique watch.

Dimensions: Length approx. 30.5mm (including lugs), Width approx. 23.5mm (excluding crown), approx. 26mm (including crown), Thickness approx. 7mm (including crystal). The watch lug width is 17mm.
It comes with the new black genuine leather strap shown in the photos and an authentic Cartier buckle.

While there are minor scratches and light aging/patina on the dial, it is in good condition for an antique watch from this era.
The movement has been completely overhauled and is clean. It has not been used after the overhaul except for winding to check operation. The accuracy has been adjusted to within approximately +/- 60 seconds per day.
