Graph Tech Un-Lock Nut Tusq XL Slotted Non Locking Ibanez Replacement

The Graph Tech Un-Lock Nut is an innovative solution for players who have a double locking tremolo equipped guitar but don't need to perform crazy divebombs every few minutes.

Designed to be a drop in replacement for Ibanez size locking nuts with a 16" radius (see dimensions images), the nut is made from their permanently lubricated Tusq XL material to retain as much of the tuning stability from a locking nut as possible (Tusq XL is impregnated with PTFE to ensure strings don't bind in their slots during bending or tremolo use) and removing the locking nut makes bending the strings on the lower frets much easier. Not using a locking nut also speeds up string changes and reduces weight on the headstock. The string slots are specially shaped to distribute the string tension and guide the string to the tuner (especially useful for wide 3 x 3 headstocks that can cause problems with the G string) and can accommodate a 0.060" low E string without needing to adjust the slot width. You can still use the fine tuners on your tremolo bridge to make adjustments as required. Graph Tech nuts are supplied slightly oversized to allow for final fit and shaping (material works easily with fine sandpaper).
