The Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Plain 8-inch serving bowl is a classic example of Denmark’s most iconic porcelain pattern. Introduced in 1775, Blue Fluted Plain features delicate hand-painted cobalt-blue floral motifs and intricate fluted molding inspired by Chinese export porcelain. Crafted from fine white porcelain, the bowl combines elegance with everyday functionality, making it suitable for serving vegetables, side dishes, or fruit. Each piece is hand-painted, ensuring slight variations that reflect the artistry and heritage of Royal Copenhagen craftsmanship. This bowl is approximately 8" across at the corners and more narrow at the sides due to the graceful curve of its construction. The bowl weighs 1lb 13oz without packaging. There is a mark above the R and the Y in Royal which dates this to between 1992-1999. This model and pattern re-sales elsewhere (NC) for just shy of $190 USD.
