This is an original Women’s Land Army (WLA) cap badge / brooch. It features a King’s Crown with red enamel, a central green enamelled disc with a golden sheaf of wheat, and the inscription “WOMEN’S LAND ARMY” around the edge.
The Women’s Land Army was vital during both World Wars, with women (“Land Girls”) working on farms to support the war effort.
