In several auctions tonight, I will be listing an estate collection of original WW2 JAPANESE STRIKE PHOTOS. All are fresh to the market, from a local Florida estate.
Original WW2 aerial strike photograph documenting a B-29 Superfortress precision mission over the Tama Aircraft Plant in Tokyo. Dated April 12, 1945 (12:21 PM), this 10x10 inch Type-1 intelligence print captures the impact of high-explosive ordnance on a critical Japanese aviation production facility.
Produced by the 21st Bomber Command (21BC), this photo captures Mission 5M63. The data strip explicitly identifies the target as "TAMA AC PLANT, TOKYO A7 RESTRICTED." The Tama (Tachikawa) Aircraft Company was a primary strategic target, responsible for the production of Imperial Japanese Army fighters. This photograph served as an official Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) used to verify the neutralization of Japanese airpower during the final months of the war.
