Up for sale is a super piece of Franciscan Masterpiece china!

This item is a creamer from their lovely Rossmore dinnerware pattern. 

Rossmore was made between 1945-1952. The Rossmore pattern is made on the Encanto shape, which was the first of Franciscan’s fine china lines, referred to as Masterpiece china. The Masterpiece lines were Franciscan’s finest; their quality is on par with Lenox and Pickard.

The Merced shape is an iconic Franciscan shape, much like Coronado. The place setting pieces are rim shaped, the footed serving pieces feature a very distinctive flattened ovoid-shape design unlike any other maker.

 Rossmore is made on a cream body, with edges, handles and footlines trimmed in gold. Further inside the edges and rims are a thin band of bright pink, then a thicker band in aqua. The sides of holloware feature a mid-century modern swirling motif in the same pink, aqua and gold accent colors.

The creamer measures 5 1/4” tall, is 2 1/2” deep, and 5 1/4” from tip of spout to handle. It is marked

“Franciscan China

Made in California

ROSSMORE”.

This is the first Franciscan fine china mark, used until 1953. 

Condition is pristine! Almost no sign of use or wear, and no damage at all.
