Original vintage railroad student commuter pass originating from the mid-twentieth century outer borough operations of the Staten Island Rapid Transit Railway Company in New York City.
This is a premier historical document issued under District Sales Manager I. W. Doty and printed on salmon-pink paper stock. The artifact features an incredibly rare fully intact right-side Agent's Stub, a bold black left edge overprint reading JUNE '63, and a striking horizontal red background block behind the route text. The piece represents a highly unique School passenger variant with printed calendar limitations and features active hand punches on the M block for Male on both the main body and the stub, alongside a small oval punch on the upper right corner of the reverse. Both matching panels are hand-signed by the original student purchaser Geo. Bowers and display a highly collectible low triple-digit serial number of 203, capturing a wonderful primary source snapshot of student transit in Richmond County.
