(62) This listing is for a most elegant Vintage piece of party serving ware - A Very Large / Heavy Oval Shape, Pierced Gallery Drinks Tray / Serving Tray / Sandwich Platter. Its base is ornately decorated with relief trellis, floriate and frond patterns, and it has a scalloped shape rim, with finger hole handles to each end. It's Central Cartouche is Engraved 'Presented to Patrick Sheen' Conductor of the Duffryn School Choir, 1951 / 76, by the Mayor of Blaenau Gwent, Councillor Eddie Hughes. The Gallery is pierced with vertical ribs, and it has a Gadrooned Rim and Base Band. It stands on four talon and ball shaped feet, it measures 46cm long x 30cm wide, x 6.5cm high, and it is marked on it's underside: Silver Plate on Copper, Sheffield. It is in fabulous condition, and would be sure to impress your dinner / drinks party guests.
