Wild Flowers Of The British Isles, written and illustrated by H. Isabel Adams. Two volumes, special subscription editions, both published in 1907 by the London Printing Company (unlike the ordinary editions published by Heinemann in 1907 and 1910 respectively). These volumes are most notable for the 75 superb full-page colour botanical plates by Adams.
Both volumes are bound in the publisher's original green cloth with black and gilt titles and decorations, measuring 23cm x 29cm. The boards are worn with splits, stains and fading. The contents are in good condition with some foxing to the text pages. The tissue guarded plates are all present and in good, clean condition. Such beautiful and rare volumes deserve restoration or a rebind.
