Oblong shaped white cotton covered pin cushion filled with saw dust.  The original inside fabric has developed a tear.  It is recovered with white fabric , custom fitted, in order to save the sawdust. But the original is still under there.  The outside is 2 layers of eyelet cotton, one slightly larger than the top layer and put together with laced narrow ribbon.  The ribbon is a  new replacement and can easily be replaced again with any other color.  The top has some holes from years of use as a pin cushion but still beautiful and usable.  Measures 9 inches long and 6 inches wide.  Designed more for a lady's dressing table than a sewing box.
