📖 About the story: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was first published on 26 November 1865 by Lewis Carroll — the pen name of mathematician Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. He originally told the story to entertain three young girls on a rowing trip on the River Thames in Oxford on 4 July 1862. The story follows Alice as she falls down a rabbit hole and encounters the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and a cast of characters so peculiar and memorable that they have never left the public imagination in 160 years.
