Historical Context
The Myrtle-Wyckoff Aves. Route was a central artery for the BMT, linking the Bushwick and Ridgewood neighborhoods. Issued on July 1, 1939, this ticket captures the system exactly eleven months before the historic 1940 unification. It documents the complex transfer rules that governed the final era of private bus and trolley service in Brooklyn and Queens.
