š 2017 Peter Rabbit 50p ā Royal Mint | Beatrix Potter | Full Colour Decal | Blue Capsule Edition
"He ran as fast as he could, back towards the gate..."
This is only the second official United Kingdom coin ever to feature Peter Rabbit ā and unlike the 2016 coin, which showed him from the waist up in a formal portrait, the 2017 design captures him in full flight. Tail up, ears back, mid-adventure. It is the same iconic hopping pose used on the cover of the very first edition of The Tale of Peter Rabbit, published by Frederick Warne & Co in 1902 ā and it has never been more alive than with a full colour decal applied by FinderKeeperStore, bringing his warm golden fur, bright blue jacket and teal collar to vivid life. Presented in a hard acrylic capsule with a blue insert ā the blue chosen to match his famous jacket perfectly.
What makes this special: ā Genuine 2017 Royal Mint uncirculated Peter Rabbit 50p ā Uncirculated condition ā never been in general circulation ā The second UK coin ever to feature Peter Rabbit ā a different design to the 2016 issue ā Captures the iconic full-body hopping pose from the original book cover ā Full colour decal ā golden fur, blue jacket and teal collar brought to vivid life ā Presented in hard acrylic capsule with blue insert matching Peter's jacket ā Part of the Beatrix Potter 2017 Royal Mint series ā perfect for completing a set ā Dispatched same or next working day by Royal Mail ā free postage

š A wonderful gift for fans of Peter Rabbit, Beatrix Potter collectors, new parents, grandparents and anyone who grew up with the stories. Pairs beautifully with the 2016 Peter Rabbit coin for a two-coin display showing two completely different moments in his adventures. Ideal for birthdays, Easter, Christmas and new baby gifts.
š° About the coin: The 2017 Peter Rabbit 50p was designed by Emma Noble and issued by the Royal Mint as part of the first Beatrix Potter coin series, a year after the hugely popular 2016 launch. Where the 2016 design showed Peter in a composed portrait pose, the 2017 coin shows him running ā the full-body silhouette that appears on the very first edition cover of The Tale of Peter Rabbit. The mintage of 19,900,000 makes it more widely issued than some in the series, but the colour decal by FinderKeeperStore transforms it from a common coin into a collector piece with genuine visual impact.
š About Peter Rabbit: Peter Rabbit was created by Beatrix Potter and first appeared in a picture letter she sent to a sick child in 1893. The story was published privately in 1901 and commercially by Frederick Warne & Co in 1902. Peter ā the disobedient youngest son of the Rabbit family ā sneaks into Mr McGregor's garden despite his mother's warnings, loses his jacket and shoes, and barely escapes with his life before returning home in disgrace. He remains one of the most recognised fictional characters in the world and is central to the British national imagination in a way that few fictional animals can match.
