This is a great set of placemats, napkins and napkin rings from the 60s or 70s, but probably the 70s considering the color-way. This was a period known to use earthy color palettes in homes.  The placemats are decorated with a bold, retro-style horizontal stripe pattern in shades of mustard yellow, bright yellow, orange, brown and white. The textured ribbed weave is characteristic of high quality handwoven placemats of that era.

There are 6 placemats, 6 bright yellow napkins and 6 seashell shaped napkin rings.  They are new in the original box. As stated above the pieces are "affixed" to the box so I could not remove them for measuring.  The box is blank, with no brand name or identification of a pattern. The box has also been taped as can be seen in the photos. But this box is at least 50 years old.

The last photo shows a tiny snag (white). Very minimal.

Because of the era of this set, I chose the United States as the place of origin.
