1936 Hindenburg Zeppelin cover, Europe to USA, 6th flight. On-board “An Bord” usage with Sieger marking and signature. Strong display piece with classic cachet.

1936 Hindenburg LZ 129 Zeppelin Cover Flown 8th N. Am Flight Sieger Signed

This is an exceptional piece of aerophilately a 1936 Hindenburg Zepplin Cover flown on the 8th North American Flight (8. Fahrt) of the LZ 129.  Europe to North America   

This historic flown cover was carried aboard the LZ 129 Hindenburg during its 8th North American Flight in September 1936. It features a crisp, violet pictorial cachet on the left and a 75pf Zeppelin stamp tied by a circular "Deutsche Luftpost" postmark dated 19.9.36. The bottom left corner bears the distinct "An Bord Luftschiff Hindenburg" (On board Airship Hindenburg) typeface. Addressed to Fourth Avenue, New York City.

Reverse of Cover:

The reverse features the red return address stamp of H.E. Sieger (Lorch, Germany), the premier name in Zeppelin philately. Below the stamp is a bold, original ink signature, likely that of a crew member or pilot (identified as M.H. Pohle), adding significant historical value and authenticity to this piece.

Vessel: LZ 129 Hindenburg.

Flight: 8th North American Flight (19.9.36).

Postmark: Circular "Deutsche Luftpost Europa-Nordamerika" dated September 19, 1936.

Cachet: Large violet pictorial cachet showing the Hindenburg over a cityscape (likely Frankfurt or New York).

Stamp: 75 Pfennig Zeppelin airmail stamp featuring the LZ 129 over the ocean.

Condition:  Original cover with typical age-related toning, edge wear, and light handling. No major tears or structural damage. Presents well with strong markings and legible cancels.
