🐰 About the coin: The 2016 Beatrix Potter 50p was released by the Royal Mint to mark the 150th anniversary of Beatrix Potter's birth. Designed by Emma Noble, the reverse features a portrait of Beatrix Potter herself, surrounded by floral foliage with a small running rabbit at the base — a nod to the character that made her famous worldwide. The dates 1866–1943 frame the design.
