This beautiful antique Indian Maiden kerosene oil lamp is a rare find from 1872. Most likely made by Bradley & Hubbard. At the bottom of the font, the words "Patented March 14, 1871 and July 23, 1872 are cast into the glass. The lamp is in excellent condition. No cracks or chips in the font, and the paint on the Native American / Indian figure is perfect. No scratches or areas that are rubbed off. The pentagon shaped base does have some bubbling of the black finish on two of the five sections. You can see this in the last 2 photos. The lamp measures 13-1/8" tall. The font is 5-1/4" in diameter, and the base is 6" wide. The lamp would take a Hoyt, flat-wick type burner.
