Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. First Edition. xxiv, 383pp. Bound in original blue cloth, with bright gilt lettering to spine. Extremities admit to a number of small bumps, with general medium wear and soiling to exterior. Some unobtrusive chipping and tears to extremities of a small number of leaves, likely caused from how the pages were "opened". Minor pencil to just a few leaves. Some tanning to paper. Several gatherings of leaves are no longer perfectly square with the text block, resulting in the leaves protruding at fore-edge and a little spacing near gutter. This has caused the binding to be a little tender and the requirement that any user exercise a little more care in handling. Minor creasing here and there to interior. Overall, given the age and the construction of the book, this copy is largely well preserved and maintains much of its original charm. SCARCE.  Seller Inventory # 039779
