Exceptionally clean, pre-Civil War soda bottle with Iron Pontil. Embossed - BUFFUM & Co (Block Letters)/ PITTSBURGH. Deep Aqua in color with Blob Top.  Historically important bottle provided by the J.C. Buffum Co. dating back to the 1850's. This bottle is in very good condition with minor signs of normal wear and a very light haze over a portion of the back side. Some very appealing air bubbles on the neck. Bottle stands 7 1/4" high with a 2 5/8" circular base and does not have any chips or cracks of any kind. Bottle is in its original dug condition.
