Offered is a great Antique Round WOOD PANTRY BOX with Cover in original green paint. Made from poplar with tapered overlapped joints. The joints are held together with iron tacks and sides are secured to the top /bottom with small wooded pegs. This unlabeled storage box was made in the 1800's and is in original condition in green paint that has darkened with age and has great patina. It measures 9 1/2 " in diameter x 5" tall. Condition is very good for its age. As noted in the Condition description, there is evidence of old insect infestation that has been eradicated, some paint loss as well as minor staining. There is a minor loss on the rim of the cover. Please look carefully at the photos.
