Offering a vintage, midcentury modern, handmade stoneware covered sugar bowl and creamer with 2 pour spouts made by David Gil's Bennington Potters of Bennington, Vermont in a glossy finish sponge painted Brown Agate pattern. Both have impressed early Bennington pottery marks. The sugar bowl is numbered 1634, the creamer is 1635. Both pieces and the pattern have been discontinued and are no longer produced. The glossy finish is very rare.
Both measure about 3 1/2" high. Glaze is rich, shiny and bright. The sugar bowl has a tiny flea bite to the rim. No cracks, crazing or repairs. Please see the pictures for the condition.
