1968-69 ABA Basketball Program & Decal Denver Rockets v 1st Season New York Nets.
Super rare set, the decal is almost non-existent along with the program where only a few hundred people attended the game!
The 1968–69 New York Nets season was the first season of the Nets playing in New York and second overall season in the American Basketball Association (ABA). After one year in New Jersey as the New Jersey Americans, the team elected to play their games at Commack Arena in New York, the same place that they had tried to use for their one-game playoff against the Kentucky Colonels that they forfeited due to unplayable conditions. Low attendance plagued the team at times, with the October 29 game drawing only 384 people to see the Nets play the Denver Rockets.
1968–69 American Basketball Association (ABA) program for the New York Nets.
The program commemorates the team's first year as the New York Nets after moving from New Jersey, where they were known as the Americans during the ABA's inaugural 1967–68 season.
Decal: The circular decal dated 1968 features a vintage Nets logo with the filled with a basketball pattern, a design used during their early ABA years.
